Mrs. Peredia’s leadership is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational, and faith-integrated approach to counseling and supervision. She is deeply committed to the personal and professional formation of counselors-in-training, with particular attention to the supervisory relationship as a central context for growth, resilience, and well-being. Her supervision philosophy emphasizes reflective practice, ethical accountability, and the development of both clinical competence and professional character, in alignment with the ethical standards of the American Counseling Association and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Since entering the mental health field in 2012, Mrs. Peredia has provided trauma-informed care across clinical and higher education settings through an integrative, relational approach grounded in psychodynamic theory. Her work emphasizes insight, attachment patterns, and the influence of early relational experiences on present functioning, while attending to emotional and somatic processes within the therapeutic relationship. She intentionally integrates Christian faith into counseling when appropriate, honoring clients’ spiritual beliefs as a source of meaning, resilience, and healing. This faith-integrated psychodynamic lens supports deeper self-understanding, emotional integration, and relational growth, and it similarly informs her supervision and leadership practices through an emphasis on reflection, relational depth, and spiritual awareness.

In addition to her clinical and supervisory work, Mrs. Peredia has held administrative leadership roles within mental health and higher education settings since 2012. Her responsibilities have included oversight of clinical operations, regulatory compliance and documentation, program development and evaluation, budgeting and grant support, staff supervision and development, and the implementation of ethical training and supervision structures within counseling systems. She earned her Master of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix in 2012 as preparation for licensure and clinical practice, and she became a CAMFT Certified Supervisor in 2023. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision at Grand Canyon University, a program designed to prepare counselor educators, supervisors, and academic leaders through advanced training in supervision theory, counselor development, research literacy, and leadership within educational and clinical systems. While her administrative focus emphasizes quantitative approaches to outcomes assessment and program evaluation, her CES training provides comprehensive preparation across qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research, equipping her to thoughtfully integrate scholarship, supervision, and administration in the service of counselor development and mental well-being.

As Director, Mrs. Peredia continues to strengthen and expand the Counseling Center’s mission to provide values-based, evidence-informed, and ethically grounded care. She aligns Student Learning Outcomes, training benchmarks, and supervision practices with developmental frameworks such as the Integrated Developmental Model and Bernard’s Discrimination Model, while utilizing outcome data including the Counseling Center Assessment of Psychological Symptoms to inform clinical training and program quality. Guided by her Christian faith and a deep sense of vocational calling, Mrs. Peredia views her work as an opportunity to restore, equip, and shepherd emerging counselors. Through her leadership, supervision, and scholarship, she remains committed to shaping clinicians who embody professional excellence, relational integrity, and faith-informed compassion in service to individuals, institutions, and communities.
